Who We Are; What We Do
OUR MANDATE
The Bridgewater & Area Chamber of Commerce is an independent, volunteer-led organization. Our main focus is to support the business community by providing opportunities for networking, growth and professional development.
Our Board is composed primarily of local business owners who give generously of their time and expertise because they believe in the strength of our business community. Our Executive Director holds the only paid role for just 20 hours a week.
We are proud of what we have built together in the past few years – a membership that has grown to 300 businesses, a robust calendar of networking and professional development events, and a successful annual Sponsor Drive that allows us to offer many of our programs at no cost to our members.
These achievements reflect dedicated effort by our team, and the trust of our business community. They did not happen by accident, and they cannot be sustained if our organizational capacity is stretched beyond what our volunteer structure can reasonably support.
If you are requesting support or involvement from the Chamber please ensure in advance that it clearly supports the business community.

Vision
The Bridgewater and Area Chamber of Commerce will be an advocate and supporter of the creation of a strategic business vision for the communities we serve.

Enhancing Membership
The Bridgewater and Area Chamber of Commerce is committed to bringing value to the membership each year
