About the event
Citizens for Public Transit (CPT) is a dedicated group of volunteers and activists promoting the establishment of a cost-effective, safe, affordable, accessible regional public transit system within the Municipality of the District of Lunenburg (MODL) and the Towns of Bridgewater, Mahone Bay, and Lunenburg. CPT is growing its membership of late with local residents who support the concept. CPT Chair, Stewart Franck, will discuss recent activities aimed at convincing the municipalities to get on the bus and work together to create such a system that will be of tremendous benefit to area residents of all ages and walks of life, community organizations, and all business. Business support is essential – especially small-medium enterprises – as they stand to experience tremendous gains with the creation of a public transit system, attracting customers from a larger pool of shoppers, increased business revenue, access to potential employees, and more. BACC members and interested individuals may wish to attend this lunch and learn session to hear what public transit might look like to you, and how you may wish to get involved.
NOW is the time to Get Rolling with Public Transit!
