About the event

This is a fully funded program offered by the Chamber through our partnership with the NS Department of Labour and Advanced Education. The start date is February 25 2021 from 1:00 - 4:00pm each Thursday for 10 weeks.

Businesses and community organizations are constantly adapting to keep up with the change in many aspects of their operations. Successfully organizing, engaging, and using the talent and potential of people and teams are crucial to effectively deal with change in an organization. This is a 40-hour program designed for those leading change in their workplace or organization.

• Understanding resistance to change 

• John Kotter’s Leading Change Model

Establish a Sense of Urgency

• Developing urgency statements 

• Identify and dealing with complacency and apathy

Forming a Powerful Change Coalition – Getting the Right People on the Team

• Four qualities of an effective guiding coalition

• Completing a stakeholder analysis 

• Leadership styles and the leadership matrix

• Tuckman’s model of teambuilding

Creating a Vision

• Creating a change vision statement
